Ocean County will be conducting forestry work within Wells Mills County Park
Ocean County will be conducting forestry work within Wells Mills County Park and the Wells Mills Wilderness Area OC NLT properties from 9-1-23 through 12-31-23. The work is part of a multi-year project approved by the Pinelands Commission and New Jersey Forest Service. The goal of this work is to improve forest health, reduce wildfire risk and improve habitat for threatened and endangered species. During this time, heavy equipment may be present in the areas surrounding the Red (Wildfire Ecology) and Yellow (Multi-use) Trails. Please use caution when hiking in those areas.
